About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Software Engineer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a key member of our development team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement industry-standard CI/CD pipelines that automate common operational tasks.
  • Develop and maintain applications to monitor service health, perform log analysis, and automate recovery processes.
  • Apply software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Identify opportunities to automate away manual processes and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with the development team technical director to understand team requirements, evaluate options, develop roadmaps, and ensure needs are addressed in a complex, multi-partner environment.
  • Provide critical support during deployment and maintenance of our game titles.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems configurations and procedures, including runbooks for DevOps tasks.
  • Evaluate and adopt technologies that improve team efficiency and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with a global team to implement technologies and support integration.
  • Analyze incidents in a postmortem process to ensure preventative measures are implemented.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
  • Experience using Perforce or Git-based workflows for code management.
  • Experience with Python, C#, or other scripting languages.
  • Understanding of software configuration management and release management.
  • Proficiency in the use and administration of CI/CD frameworks, Jenkins or others.
  • Experience setting up and deploying a CI/CD environment in a large-scale environment.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems such as JIRA.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation for internal and external use.
  • Passion for automation and workflow efficiency.
