Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Mechanic Express Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repairs to keep our fleet of trucks and trailers in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain U-Haul equipment to meet company standards
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Applicable Journeyman/Red Seal certification
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and automotive/trailer mechanics
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
