Job Title: Welder

Accumetal Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Work Environment:

The work environment is dusty, noisy, and may involve odors. You will be working in a manufacturing setting, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and reading and interpreting welding blueprints and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a dusty, noisy environment and handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Standing for extended periods and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Organized and able to maintain a safe work environment.
