Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Transformation Specialist to join our team at Direct IT Recruiting Inc., WBE Canada Certified.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to work as a key member of our agile Product and Delivery team. The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of capital market products, Core Trading & Pre-Trade Compliance business processes, and application knowledge of Charles River (CRD) system.

As a Business Systems Transformation Specialist, you will apply business analysis practices and product knowledge to enable the delivery of appropriate solutions to achieve business outcomes and benefits. This hands-on role requires proactively applying analysis expertise in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with business clients to elicit and facilitate agreement on business requirements for prioritized initiatives.
  • Create business analysis-related materials, including functional and non-functional requirements in the form of user stories, workflows, functional specifications, data mapping, etc.
  • Conceive, propose, and facilitate the selection of viable functional solution alternatives.
  • Work with business and solution teams to ensure that solutions are delivered in a timely manner and meet intended business value and benefits.
  • Demonstrate requirements/user stories traceability and lead the User Acceptance phase of initiatives.
  • Participate in the analysis, story mapping, and documentation process and provide Business Analysis work estimates.
  • Contribute to the operation and improvement of the delivery team.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and handover to Business Analyst peers, product team members, and application support teams as required.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent experience in Business/Finance, Financial Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering.
  • Asset would be one or more of: CFA, Process improvement methodology accreditation – ITIL, Six Sigma, CBAP – Certified Business Analysis Professional.
  • 6+ years' experience in business analysis or product management in the institutional investment industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of institutional investment products across all asset classes: Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, Futures & Options.
  • In-depth understanding of Front Office business processes, including portfolio management, order management, and execution, as well as investment front-through-back trade lifecycle and market practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive customer-focus mindset.
  • Experience with vendor management and ability to negotiate and influence to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, and complete tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating effectively with business, delivery, and technology partners.
  • Robust understanding of agile and iterative project management delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple levels of clients, team, and partners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
