Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Automation Systems Specialist to design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and safety in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate automation systems that meet our quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and program automation software for PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control devices.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support for automation systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Lead or contribute to automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in industrial automation technologies and trends.
  • Conduct training sessions for operational staff on the use and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Ensure that automation systems comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze data from various monitoring and manufacturing execution systems.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs and create work orders and work requests in MEX.
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in the work area and organize machine parts and components appropriately.
  • Assist the Maintenance team with maintenance activities and major overhauls and installations.
  • Support organizational philanthropic, quality, and environmental initiatives throughout the site.
  • Implement appropriate Industrial Automation Preventative Maintenance programs and identify critical spares for inventory.
  • Communicate with suppliers on matters related to various subject matters.
  • Analyze data on subject matter and implement plans to improve performance and availability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the field of industrial automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA systems, and other automation technologies.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols OPC, Profibus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex automation issues.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project management skills to oversee automation projects from initiation to completion.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and standards related to industrial automation.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to new technologies and stay informed about industry developments.
