About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Information Modelling Specialist to join our team at MI Concept + Design Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings using industry-leading software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Drafting
    • Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using CAD software
    • Read and interpret blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Training and Development
    • Train new drafting personnel on industry-standard software and best practices
  • Project Management
    • Develop and prepare design sketches and construction specifications
    • Estimate costs and materials for projects
    • Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements
    • Examine drawings for conformity and errors
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Experience
    • Experience in building information modelling and drafting is an asset
Preferred Skills
  • Computer and Technology
    • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Autodesk REVIT
    • Experience with SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop
  • Specialization or Experience
    • 3D modeling and rendering skills
