Bayer (Schweiz) AG is seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team in Quebec, Canada. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in facilitating education and evidence generation between Bayer and the medical community.
Key Responsibilities- Scientific Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key thought leaders in the cardiovascular and renal therapeutic areas, providing scientific expertise and education on Bayer's products and pipeline.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement medical strategies, identifying opportunities for engagement and education with thought leaders and other stakeholders.
- Insight Generation: Gather and document insights from thought leaders on current clinical practices, beliefs, and unmet medical needs, providing valuable feedback to inform Bayer's product development and market access strategies.
- Learning and Development: Organize and lead scientific learning activities, working with thought leaders and other Bayer partners to develop and deliver educational programs and materials.
- Communication and Collaboration: Serve as a primary point of contact for thought leaders, facilitating communication and collaboration between Bayer and the medical community.
- Market Access and Research: Support medical operations and site management for non-interventional and interventional trials, ensuring timely feasibility, initiation, and recruitment.
- Training and Documentation: Provide training on disease state, Bayer products, and competitor products to internal cross-functional partners, and document medical information queries in alignment with Bayer's procedures.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, with advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) preferred.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a customer-facing medical affairs role or experience in drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical relevant activities.
- Skills: Demonstrated learning agility, transferable skills to cover different therapeutic areas, ability to work in a team environment, build productive work relationships, and excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated business acumen, with experience learning and using digital technology to develop communications, brand/TA campaigns, and conduct analysis of medical data and generate insights.
