Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan with company match.

Job Description

This hybrid role requires the candidate to be based in the GTA area and work on-site for at least 3 days a week. The Data Architect will provide business, data, application and technology consulting and leadership for the Enterprise IT portfolio.

  • The primary function of the Data Architect is to design and implement data models, meta-data models, process flows, process models, as well as data services.
  • The Data Architect will capture requirements for these services and identify techniques and technologies to be applied at the data level.
  • The Data Architect will define data management principles and policies setting the direction for how data is managed across the enterprise.
  • The Data Architect will work closely with Infrastructure, Business and Application Architects and DBAs to determine the most appropriate data partitioning to achieve maximum performance and scalability.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, along with 8+ years of experience in data modeling, development, implementation and support of transactional databases and data warehouses for global, large scale systems.

  • The candidate should have expertise in relational database platforms, meta-data repository technologies, stored procedure programming, data modeling, replication, performance monitoring and optimization, and database administration.
  • Experience in data warehousing, ETL, distributed environments, data modeling for Object Oriented systems, and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc. is highly desirable.
