Job Opportunity: Structural Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team and provide support for our projects. The successful candidate will analyze and review designs for structural elements of buildings, such as walls and roofs, and ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and coordinate multi-residential, commercial, and light industrial projects from concept to completion.
  • Conduct stress tests on structures to ensure their stability and safety.
  • Advise clients on structural changes and modifications.
  • Provide architects with design specifications to prepare plans in a timely manner.
  • Analyze existing structures to make recommendations for future projects.
  • Test existing and proposed structures to ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Communicate concerns about a structure to the architect and other engineers.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to develop designs and contract packages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Architecture & Construction design from an accredited institution.
  • Registered P.Eng. with Professional Engineers Ontario or expecting licensure within the next year.
  • Proficiency with structural design software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to conceptualize structural and architectural details in three dimensions.
