Job Title: Veterinary Technologist Assistant, Cardiology

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Veterinary Technologist Assistant to join our Cardiology team at Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced emergency and referral setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with animal handling and restraint, positioning for radiographs, bloodwork, EKG, and ultrasound
  • Prepare and process lab samples, and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and maintain digital files, and respond to client inquiries
  • Participate in staff meetings, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
  • Completion of a Veterinary Assistant Certificate Program, or equivalent experience in a veterinary setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Knowledge of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment, and a willingness to learn and grow
