Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our Emergency Department team at the Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre. As an RVT, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care and technical support to veterinarians and other team members
- Assist with emergency triage, patient assessment, and treatment
- Perform a variety of clinical procedures, including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, and in-house lab work
- Maintain accurate medical records and provide excellent customer service to pet owners
- Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient hospital operations
- Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) certification or eligibility to register
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize patient care
