Agriculture Reporter

About the Role
As an Agriculture Reporter, you will be responsible for writing daily market reports covering canola and other key agricultural commodities. You will also be part of a rotation for our main cash grain and livestock market reports, closely monitoring crop condition reports, grain and oilseed sales, and livestock markets. Additionally, you will develop and maintain sources to break news ahead of the competition, develop, pitch, and deliver initiative stories, and use multimedia as appropriate to tell stories.
About You
You would be a good candidate for this role if you have a minimum of four years of experience in journalism, experience covering markets, commodities trading, and the agriculture industry, a proven track record in delivering exclusives, and extensive experience breaking news and handling big breaking stories in real time. You should also have experience in developing deep sources, pitching, reporting, and writing long-form stories, strong writing and organizational skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex subjects to a wide audience.
