About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Reporter to join our team. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality market reports, analyzing crop conditions, and providing in-depth coverage of the agricultural industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the agricultural market, including crop conditions, grain and oilseed sales, and livestock markets.
  • Produce daily market reports, including analysis and insights on market trends and developments.
  • Conduct interviews with industry experts, farmers, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights.
  • Write and edit articles, reports, and other content for publication on our website and social media channels.
  • Collaborate with other journalists and editors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the agricultural industry, including policy changes, market trends, and technological advancements.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced journalist with a strong background in agriculture and market analysis. You should have:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in journalism, with a focus on agriculture and market analysis.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and analyze complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of the agricultural industry, including market trends, policy changes, and technological advancements.
