Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Restaurant Cashier to join our team at ONTARIO LTD. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating our cash register system, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Handle customer payments, including cash, credit, and debit transactions
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash handling area and surrounding environment
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Participate in promotional activities and suggestively sell products to customers
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Reliability and flexibility
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular schedule of 32 to 40 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to work in a restaurant setting, handling cash and operating a cash register.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
