We are seeking an experienced Corporate Litigation Attorney to join our team in Valcourt, QC. This role will involve handling complex litigation cases, providing assistance to the labor and employment law team, and supporting the Director, Legal Services, Litigation and Employment.

About the RoleThis position will be based at our Valcourt, QC headquarters and will require experience in litigation, including product liability and commercial cases. The successful candidate will have strong strategic skills, ability to lead complex litigation matters, and impactful verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities- Handle complex litigation cases from inception to conclusion in jurisdictions around the world.
- Assist outside attorneys in developing litigation strategies, preparing witnesses, assessing litigation risks, and attending mediation and trial.
- Have an active role in protecting and defending BRP's interests, making strategic litigation decisions, and managing risks.
- Assist the labor & employment team in supporting the human resources function with all legal needs, including drafting agreements and policies, advising on legal compliance and risks, and managing labor relations and employment issues.
- 6 to 8 years' experience as an in-house legal counsel or as a lawyer in a private law firm.
- Experience in litigation, including product liability and commercial cases. Experience with U.S. legal system is a plus.
- Experience in labor & employment law, in both unionized and non-unionized work environments.
- Strong strategic skills and ability to lead complex litigation matters with a clear vision of risks and opportunities.
- The person shows curiousness, discipline, autonomy, and initiative in their work.
- The person is also good at managing pressure and is excellent at prioritizing work.
- Impactful verbal communication skills and ability to work across every level of an organization and to relate effectively with executives and operational teams in French and English.
