Job Title: Business Law Educator

This position is available for a highly skilled Course Developer with expertise in Business Law to develop high-quality courses for the University of Niagara Falls Canada. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert and possess strong pedagogical principles, instructional design methodologies, and emerging technologies to enhance student learning experiences.


About The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented educator to join our team as a Course Developer for Business Law. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about teaching and learning to make a significant contribution to the educational experience of our students.


Key Responsibilities
  • Course Development: Collaborate with the Associate Dean to understand learning objectives, course content, and instructional materials for new courses. Design and develop engaging and interactive course materials, including lectures, presentations, multimedia resources, assessments, and learning activities.
  • Instructional Design: Utilize instructional design principles and best practices to ensure courses meet quality standards, accessibility guidelines, and student learning outcomes.
  • Educational Technologies: Incorporate innovative instructional strategies, educational technologies, and multimedia tools to enhance student engagement and promote active learning.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Law, Business Law, or a related field, or a Master's degree with 5 years of professional work experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in online course development, the instructional design process, or curriculum design in a higher education setting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult learning theories and assessment strategies.
  • Proficiency with course development tools, learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace, Canvas, Blackboard).
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG, AODA) and experience designing inclusive learning environments.
