Job Summary

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking a highly skilled Obstetrician Specialist in Infectious Diseases to join our team at the Oak Tree Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to women, children, and families living with HIV and other reproductive infectious diseases.

About the Role

We are looking for a specialist with expertise in obstetrical care for women and persons living with HIV who are pregnant or require consultation from a gynecologist or are impacted by other obstetrical and gynecologic infections. You will work closely with our team to provide direct and indirect clinical care, participate in interdisciplinary clinical rounds, educational rounds, and provide telephone support throughout the province.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect clinical care to individuals living with HIV
  • Participate in interdisciplinary clinical rounds and educational rounds
  • Provide telephone support throughout the province
  • Teach and mentor learners
  • Participate in research and clinical practice guideline creation

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have obtained fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology, ideally along with subspecialty training in Infectious Diseases. Additional clinical experience with women's health and/or marginalized populations is welcome. Candidates must be eligible for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia.
