About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff iOS Engineer to join our team at Scribd Inc. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining the stability and performance of our iOS applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work across our entire codebase to push the product roadmap forward and enhance code quality and engineering practices.
  • Modernize the technology stack and address technical debt while focusing on delivering an exceptional user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features in a timely manner.
  • Foster a culture of learning and growth by mentoring and guiding junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Investigate newer technologies and ensure the Scribd codebase is approachable, maintainable, flexible, and performant.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable ability to investigate, diagnose, debug, and solve complex and ambiguous codebase issues.
  • Proven ability to refactor large codebases and migrate codebase to newer technology stacks.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience shipping multiple iOS apps to the public.
