Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Staff iOS Engineer to lead the development of our iOS apps. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS apps, ensuring they are stable, performant, and meet the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, and will be expected to mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in modern best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain our iOS apps, ensuring they are stable, performant, and meet the highest standards of quality.
  • Work closely with our cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers in modern best practices.
  • Investigate and diagnose complex codebase issues, and develop solutions to improve code quality and performance.
  • Refactor large codebases, migrating code to newer technology stacks and addressing technical debt.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience shipping multiple iOS apps to the public.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • High bar on coding practices with an ongoing focus on performance, time vs space tradeoffs, and continuous improvement regarding best practices to follow and anti-patterns to avoid.
  • Demonstrable ability to investigate, diagnose, debug, and solve complex and ambiguous codebase issues.
