The role of a Safety Management Systems Inspector or Auditing Specialist for Rail Infrastructure is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of safety within the rail industry. These professionals ensure that railways operating in Canada comply with regulatory requirements and implement effective safety management systems.

Key duties include conducting audits on railway safety management systems, participating in the design and implementation of regulatory compliance programs, providing technical advice to stakeholders, analyzing safety data, and offering expertise on audit methodologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate significant experience in conducting inspections or auditing management systems, preparing detailed written reports, and conducting data analysis as part of regular work duties.

In addition, successful completion of a post-secondary education program (minimum of two years) from a recognized institution or an acceptable combination of education and experience is required. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution is also necessary.

Conditions of Employment
Reliability status security clearance, possession of a valid provincial or territorial driver's licence, ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, and ability and willingness to travel using all modes of transportation are essential requirements.
