Field and Infusion Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Field and Infusion Nurse. This role will involve administering medications, supporting the administration of IV infusion treatments, and providing patient education in home or specialty clinic settings.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications in home or specialty clinic settings, ensuring compliance with program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation.
- Support and monitor the administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting, maintaining accurate records and reporting any adverse events.
- Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups, promoting patient understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
- Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information.
- Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other tasks as assigned, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Participate regularly in team web-based meetings and training sessions to maintain and enhance professional practice standards.
- Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs.
- Travel within designated IBUs and surrounding areas to meet operational needs, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience with IV therapy is an asset.
- Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field.
- Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate.
- Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting.
- ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets.
- Knowledge of cell phones for making and confirming appointments/assignments and fax machines.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team.
- Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary.
