Job Title: Yard Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Yard Operations Coordinator to join our team at Compass Transport Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Yard Operations Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining work records and logs, monitoring personnel workloads and locations, and organizing warehouse and work areas. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle operator work hours, mileage, and expenses.
  • Monitor personnel workloads and locations to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and safe working environment in the yard.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, and respond to urgent calls as needed.
  • Perform general office duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as transportation or logistics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and extreme temperatures.
  • May be required to work overtime, including evenings and weekends.
