Job Title: GTB Commercial Card Portfolio Management Internship/Co-Op

Scotiabank is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Global Transaction Banking team as a Commercial Card Portfolio Management Intern/Co-Op. In this role, you will play a critical part in leading and driving the Commercial Cards portfolio management initiatives, monitoring client program performance, and identifying opportunities for cost avoidance, cost savings, growth, and improved client margins.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support growth in revenues and customer satisfaction on the Commercial Cards portfolio by generating insights from data to inform product strategy, collaborating with Technology, Sales, and AML/Risk teams, and monitoring monthly product results.
  • Maintain the end-to-end process map, ensuring accountable stakeholders operate within agreed responsibilities, and determining product gaps with respect to customer needs, competitive offerings, and market trends.
  • Review financials, key performance indicators, and trends to determine key product opportunities and issues, work with pricing and operations teams to drive revenues and implement margin enhancement opportunities, and maintain a high-quality market intelligence program.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with ability to prioritize and multi-task, working both independently and within a team environment.
  • Great attention to detail, proactive, and responsive to short deadlines.
  • Self-starter possessing confidence and initiative, able to cope with changing and evolving priorities while identifying new opportunities.
