About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced cook to join our team at KAYA Sushi + Grill. As a restaurant cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the high standards of KAYA Sushi + Grill.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Staff Management: Recruit and hire staff as needed to support the growth and success of KAYA Sushi + Grill.
  • Operational Management: Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
