We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Lakeland Animal Care Group.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide exceptional care and support to our veterinary team, ensuring the highest level of service to our clients and their pets.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including handling and restraining animals, preparing and administering medications, and conducting laboratory research.
  • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals, including wound and bandage care.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure seamless care and support for our clients and their pets.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
