About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dental Technician to join our team at Solaris Dental Design Inc. As a key member of our dental laboratory, you will be responsible for preparing plaster models and moulds, casting gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, and performing administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental restorations
  • Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
  • Perform administrative tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Supervise students in training and provide guidance on dental prosthetics fabrication
  • Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays for dental restorations
  • Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
  • Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys
  • Polish and buff dentures to a high shine
Work Environment

As a Dental Technician at Solaris Dental Design Inc., you will work in a fast-paced commercial dental laboratory setting. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to quality control standards, and collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental laboratory setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting
