About the Job

This permanent position offers 30-40 hours of work per week, with a competitive salary range estimated between $45,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with experience in early childhood education an asset. You will be responsible for assisting coworkers in housekeeping and cooking duties, maintaining daycare equipment, and supporting early childhood educators in developing programs that promote child development.

In addition to your administrative tasks, you will engage children in various activities, including storytelling, singing songs, and preparing crafts. You will also assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits, and prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.

To excel in this role, you should be able to submit written observations on children and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems. A strong understanding of child development principles and practices is essential.
