Prosthetic Technician

The Registered Prosthetic Technician is a key member of the clinical health team at Nova Scotia Health, providing prosthetic care to inpatients and outpatients. This role involves working collaboratively with the inter-professional healthcare team to deliver high-quality prosthetic care and assist patients in achieving their prosthetic goals.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Prosthetic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in prosthetic care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise in the evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of prosthetic care
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care
- Assist patients in achieving their prosthetic goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Registered as a Registered Technician Prosthetic RTP(c) or as both a RTP(c) and RTO(c)
- Successful completion of the National Technician Registration Examination (Orthotics Prosthetics Canada)
- Registration in good standing with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada
- Experience working with patients with physical/cognitive impairments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
