Job Title: Logistics Pricing Analyst

Lineage Logistics is seeking a skilled Logistics Pricing Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our pricing department, you will be responsible for transportation costing, rating, and pricing development and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional and exceptional service when communicating with customers and internal stakeholders for all rating-related inquiries.
  • Play a leadership role in the Pricing Department, collaborating effectively with team members to achieve daily objectives.
  • Actively communicate with existing and new small customers to provide rates and invoicing support.
  • Prospect and secure new small account transportation volume.
  • Support Business Development and participate in projects that support yield improvement and revenue growth initiatives.
  • Assist with transportation invoice inquiries and resolutions.
  • Maintain and update Lineage and customer-specific Fuel Surcharge (FSC) programs and accessorial charges within Truckmate.
  • Develop and maintain all tariff and non-tariff rate structures within Truckmate.
  • Subject matter expert within Truckmate for rate sheets, accessorial charges, and FSC programs.
  • Coordinate the execution and implementation of the annual general rate increase (GRI) process.
  • Ensure contract and rate agreement compliance with customers.
  • Prepare spot rate quotes and shipment cost verifications.
  • Monitor and action Truckmate DAWG reports.
  • Act as a costing and pricing liaison for company-wide enquiries.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to develop competitive customer pricing proposals.
  • Translate business opportunities and customer needs into collaborative pricing solutions.
  • Dissect and prepare RFP/RFQ bid opportunities for pricing analysis and development.
  • Develop fact-based costing using TCG costing software.
  • Ensure rigor and accuracy in all pricing analysis.
  • Prepare reports for internal and external distribution.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the transportation or logistics industry, in an LTL and/or TL environment.
  • Costing, pricing, and/or rating experience in an LTL and/or TL environment is desirable.
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Professional Logistics (P. Log) designation, or CITT is considered an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Office 365 products with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong computer skills, ideally experience with TCG costing software and Truckmate transportation management software.
  • Strong organization skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Motivated and innovative self-starter with demonstrated initiative.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to deal with ambiguity and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize workflow to ensure deadlines are met in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
