Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will assist in the implementation of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy programs for clients in outpatient programs and Campbell Children's School. The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Clinical Manager and day-to-day supervision of the Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in direct client care through implementation of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy programs
  • Prepare and organize materials for client care
  • Provide departmental support by organizing and maintaining supplies
  • Document involvement in client care
  • Maintain statistical data
  • Ensure a safe work environment
  • Perform designated administrative duties
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Assistant program
  • 2 years' experience in a related clinical setting
  • Ability to perform lifts and transfers with complex needs clients
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis an asset
  • Knowledge of equipment, adaptive devices, and standardized tests
  • Knowledge of basic word processing programs
  • Well-developed communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members
