About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisory Engineer to join our team at Framatome. As a key member of our Installed Base Business Unit, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and grow a young engineering team while providing technical leadership for the Steam Generator Project.
  • Execute Existing Steam Generator Replacement Engineering at Bruce Power.
  • Liaise with clients and partners to ensure solutions meet underlying needs.
  • Supervise and mentor the Steam Generator Engineering Design Team in solving unique problems that support production of clean, safe, and reliable power in Ontario.
  • Provide knowledge and oversight for engineering deliverables to support plant lifetime operations, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, plant operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Provide resolution of technical issues during design, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Resource management, work assignment, and support for proposals and estimating.
  • Track and support team performance on schedule and cost metrics.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
  • 5 years of leadership/management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience training and mentoring others, plus proven ability to interact well at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented and takes ownership of work. Ability to effectively work on a multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute work to high safety and quality requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving ability demonstrated through enhanced productivity.
  • Ability to respond rapidly to changing demands and transition between diverse projects and work teams.
  • Familiarity with the design and operation of a Canadian Deuterium (CANDU) power plant. Strong knowledge of nuclear design engineering, engineering change control, and related codes and standards. Prior Bruce Power experience will be considered an asset.
