Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Precision Agriculture Technology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for executing the Precision Agriculture strategy at the field level for assigned locations.

This role requires a leader who can effectively communicate with local store teams about the latest product and service offerings in the Precision Agriculture space. You will advise customers on data management services and promote machine connectivity to provide operational efficiency insights.

  • Sales and Support:
    • You will lead the sale of technology-related hardware and services for assigned locations, including all items within the Precision Agriculture parts warehouse.
  • Data Service Sales:
    • Sell value-added data services, such as profit mapping and crop intelligence.
    • Promote machine connectivity and its benefits in terms of operational efficiency.

You will work closely with the Account Manager to perform start-up optimization workflows to ensure data and machine optimization when equipment is purchased. Additionally, you will train local service and sales teams on machine optimization and new technology items sold in the Precision AG Parts warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and support of technology-related hardware and services.
  • Data service sales and promotion of machine connectivity.
  • Customer advisory services for data management.
  • Start-up optimization workflows with the Account Manager.
  • Training of local service and sales teams.

Requirements:

  • An affinity for learning and staying up-to-date with new technology and data solutions.
  • An IT background or education would be beneficial.
  • Sales experience would be a strong asset but not required.
  • A proven track record of building long-term relationships with clients.
  • History of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Upholding the Brandt standard for customer service.
  • During peak seasons, being able to do shift work and/or weekends.
  • Travelling to customers' sites on a regular basis.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
