The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Surgeon to join our team in a full-time academic position. As a leading healthcare provider in the region, we offer a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral valve replacement/repair, and aortic valve replacement
  • Develop and implement educational programs for undergraduate medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Contribute to research initiatives and participate in quality improvement projects
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements
  • Board certification in Cardiac Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Experience with advanced cardiac surgical procedures, including TAVI and Bentall procedures
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
