Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

EVRAZ North America is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our Canadian Facilities team. As a key member of our EVRAZ Canadian Accounting Group, you will be responsible for cost accounting, preparation, and entry of monthly journal entries, assisting with the monthly close process, consolidation of financial results, and preparation of financial reports within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete the costing process for Regina Steel and Camrose Tubular in the Hyperion costing system, ensuring accurate product costing and performing variance analysis.
  • Maintain and balance perpetual Inventories and spare parts.
  • Responsible for monthly accounting close processes, preparing journal entries, including accruals, intercompany journals, payroll journals, and account reconciliations.
  • Approve pipe bid, inventory adjustments, and fixed asset disposal requests.
  • Prepare and send month-end reports to stakeholders.
  • Prepare ad-hoc costs and financial reports as required.
  • Assist with quarterly/annual year-end external audit.
  • Lead improvement initiatives for data collection and reporting automation.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • CPA accounting designation.
  • Minimum three years in a relevant cost accounting position.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with data collection, transformation, and analysis.
  • Strong capacity to manage competing priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience using Oracle is an asset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
