We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at D Spot Dessert Cafe Fort McMurray.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the pastry kitchen, ensuring high-quality desserts are produced efficiently and effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating delicious treats and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • To oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, including ordering supplies, inventory management, and staff supervision.
  • To develop and maintain a menu that showcases the best of seasonal ingredients, while meeting the needs of our customers.
  • To ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • To train and develop junior staff members, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pastry production, with knowledge of ingredients, techniques, and presentation styles.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
