Cloud Engineering Lead

Meet Safe Fleet, a leading manufacturer of fleet safety solutions.
We're on a mission to reduce preventable deaths and injuries in and around fleet vehicles with a goal of ZERO accidents.
As a Cloud Engineer Lead, you'll be responsible for leading different Cloud Engineering projects in the following areas: Operations, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Security.
This role involves architecting cloud solutions, leading projects through completion, analyzing application designs, and monitoring to ensure that deployed software and environments are operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute projects, ensuring that your team has appropriate technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver the tasks effectively.
- Keep the team on track by proactively identifying project, people, and organizational problems and providing well-thought-out solutions.
- Continuously influence the team to adopt new processes and tools that support the DevSecOps culture.
- Demonstrate leadership abilities by promoting the DevSecOps culture to Cloud Engineering and Development teams.
- Continuously look to improve our product deployment automation and monitoring capabilities.
- Work closely with onsite and remote development teams to understand how the systems integrate together.
Qualifications:
- Min 3+ years' experience leading through the design, development, release cycle, and delivering of software products to market.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud-based computing services such as AWS or Azure and Google Cloud.
- Experience automating using Python, Shell, and PowerShell SDKs for AWS and Azure APIs.
- Expertise in defining new infrastructure designs involving cloud network, leveraging different cloud native services.
- Kubernetes cluster administration.
- Experience with Terraform and Jenkins.
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
Salary: $100,000 to $125,000/yr
