We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to join our team at BEST CHOICE TRUCKING LTD. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of our vehicle operators and crews, ensuring the smooth delivery of goods and services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure that all work records and logs are up-to-date and accurate, providing valuable insights into our operations.
  • Monitor Workloads and Locations: Keep track of personnel workloads and locations, making adjustments as needed to optimize our operations.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations, as well as with our vehicle operators and crews, to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Dispatch Personnel: Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
  • Manage Emergency Situations: Respond to emergency situations, dispatching personnel as needed to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods and services.
  • Process and Transmit Information: Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of our vehicle operators and crews, using dispatching equipment.
  • Record Expenses and Mileage: Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses, providing valuable insights into our operations.
Supervision and Experience
  • Supervise a Team: Supervise a team of 5-10 personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of our operations.
  • Experience Required: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers and refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: Work a regular 40-hour week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
