Aecon Concessions Team Seeks Technical Director

Aecon, a North American leader in infrastructure development, is seeking a dynamic Technical Director to oversee the redevelopment and transition into operations of the Cyril E. King and Henry E. Rohlsen Airports in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to lead a complex Public-Private Partnership project, working closely with stakeholders including the US Virgin Islands Port Authority, design teams, and experienced airport consultants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Lead technical project teams, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, gathering requirements, providing updates, and addressing concerns.
  • Design, produce, and present reports to various stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
  • Establish project-wide quality standards and ensure deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
  • Track project schedules and milestones, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change requests.
  • Administer consultant contracts and coordinate with stakeholders in contract administration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, business administration, project management, or related field.
  • 15+ years of proven experience as a Project Manager for airport and civil infrastructure projects, with a successful track record of managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
