About the Role
We're seeking a seasoned Personal Lines Insurance Advisor to enrich our sales team at HUB International Ontario Limited. As a trusted advisor, you'll craft custom insurance solutions that provide more than protection - they offer solace, resilience, and assurance. You'll nurture our existing clients and usher in new ones, turning insurance from a mere business deal into a life-enhancing experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize your expertise to provide advice and guidance that meets our customers' individual needs, offering solutions to their unique situations and risks.
- Meet challenging personal and team sales targets, leveraging your skills to smash those goals out of the park.
- Excel at paperwork wizardry, flawlessly completing and issuing insurance applications and certificates, and setting up our internal or external keying teams for success.
- Build and maintain dynamic, professional relationships with key underwriters, working collaboratively as part of the same team.
- Resolve client concerns and complaints with your professional charm and deep product knowledge, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Mastery the use of Applied Rating Services or Company Portals to provide our potential clients with the quotes they need.
- Represent us at industry functions, showcasing your expertise and representing our company with pride.
- Stay curious and always be learning, keeping your finger on the pulse of industry changes, underwriting rules, and workflow processes.
- Participate in our training initiatives, actively contributing to our growth and development as a team.
Requirements for Success
- We're looking for someone with a RIBO License (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) in good standing, with other provincial licenses a plus.
- At least 2 years of industry or personal lines experience is required, with a strong background in Major Domestic Personal Lines Markets like Aviva, Intact, Economical, and others.
- You'll be a sales whiz with a knack for quotes, driven by delivering exceptional client experiences.
- Professional presentation and understanding of the personal insurance business in a sales-driven environment are essential.
- You'll thrive in a high-volume environment, with a strong ability to learn and adapt to our business model and value proposition.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are a must.
- A professional insurance designation like CAIB, CIP, CRM, or similar is a definite asset.
