Job Description:
Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate vendor lists, entering vendor invoices, and preparing vendor account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in Accounts Payable and possess strong English communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and accounting software.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate vendor lists
- Entering vendor invoices
- Preparing vendor account reconciliations
- Issuing Purchase Orders
- Ordering office and vendor supplies
- Preparing journal entries
- Preparing month-end closing
- Assisting with compliance audits/reviews
- Assisting with financial reporting and special accounting projects as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in Accounts Payable
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, clients, and partners
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and accounting software
- Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
