Senior Payroll Specialist

All Seniors Care Living Centers is a leading provider of senior care services, seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team in downtown Toronto.

About the Role

This role involves preparing and processing weekly payroll for union, non-union, hourly, and salaried employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and approving timesheets, managing garnishments and deductions, issuing required payroll documents (T4s, ROEs, etc.), and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process weekly payroll for union, non-union, hourly, and salaried employees
  • Ensure accuracy of approved timesheets and other input documents
  • Track and enter all garnishments and special payroll deductions
  • Administer issuance of T4's, ROE's, T2200, and various payroll reports as requested
  • Ensure salaries/wages are paid accurately and in accordance with regulations in a timely manner
  • Preparation of GL journal entries; translation of payroll data into meaningful finance/management reports
  • Comparison and investigation of payroll variances on the financial statement
  • Assist Finance team with payroll bank reconciliation, labor cost analysis, GL coding adjustments and other allocations
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure payroll and personnel records are accurate and up-to-date
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience working in payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and ESA cross Canada
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting, dedicated team player
  • Able to work within tight payroll deadlines
  • Emphasis on attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
  • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: In person at All Seniors Care Living Centers, downtown Toronto.
