About the Team

The Robinhood Security team is responsible for developing cryptographic services and libraries that power the company's infrastructure key management and data encryption. They also create engineering solutions and advisory services for Workforce IAM enablement across Robinhood's custom systems and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale systems within the team, prioritizing risk and long-term maintainability.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's growth and development.
  • Partner with management to improve team performance and build a high-functioning engineering team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with a focus on security.
  • Strong architecture and design skills, with expertise in cloud native platforms and container orchestration technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Go or Python, with solid production debugging skills.
  • Experience working with authentication and authorization protocols/frameworks, such as OpenID Connect and OAuth.
  • Experience working with key management systems or data encryption.
