About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our estimating team in Edmonton. As part of a dynamic General Contractor, you will oversee estimating for commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects, ensuring accurate costing and competitive bids that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring all projects are costed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
  • Develop detailed project cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to assess project requirements, risks, and timelines.
  • Oversee the pre-construction phase, offering insights and identifying opportunities to improve project cost efficiency and feasibility.
  • Review project specifications and drawings, ensuring a thorough understanding of all requirements.
  • Prepare bid proposals, conceptual budgets, and cost analysis reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, material prices, and other factors that impact project costs.
  • Implement and maintain estimating procedures, ensuring consistent best practices across the department.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of estimating experience in commercial, institutional, and light industrial projects.
  • Proven experience working with a general contractor.
  • Strong proficiency with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage, Bluebeam).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a focus on team development and collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
