Logistics and Delivery Specialist

The Mustard Seed Society is seeking a Logistics and Delivery Specialist to join their team. As a key member of our Food Services Department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of food donations and supplies to various locations throughout Red Deer and surrounding areas.
About the Role:
This part-time position requires a reliable and efficient individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the pickup and delivery of donations and supplies from local suppliers and donors. This role involves connecting with community members, donors, and school employees while representing The Mustard Seed at all interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pick up food donations from local community partners/donors and deliver to various locations
* Maintain the cleanliness of The Seed vehicle(s) so it is in a daily state of readiness for duty
* Coordinate with the Facilities Team and Food Services Supervisor in arranging regular repair and maintenance of TMS vehicles
* Assist the Food Services Team with tasks as required
* Other duties as may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
* Valid Alberta Driver's license
* Clear Driver's Abstract
* Minimum 3 years driving experience in a professional capacity
* Ability to professionally represent TMS to community and business partners
* Strong team player with the ability to work independently
* Passion for ending homelessness and reducing poverty in our community
Working Conditions:
* Schedule is Monday to Friday, including statutory holidays. Weekend work for special events may be required occasionally. Work hours and times may vary from time to time based on operational needs
* Busy role requiring significant to intense physical effort at times
* Physical requirements include but are not limited to driving, lifting, carrying, walking, regular loading and unloading of the vehicle
* May be working in challenging situations or conditions, must be able to calmly navigate unpredictable occurrences
Salary and Benefits:
This part-time position offers an estimated annual salary of $35,000 - $45,000 depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
