Job Description

Groupe Polygon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Department Head to lead our software development team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development of internal software and ensuring that our products meet the needs of our internal clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations/Project Management (33%)
    • Maintain an overview of all development activities and align the roadmap and organizational objectives with activity execution, demonstrating a strong ability to grasp and prioritize workload.
  • Personnel Management (33%)
    • Act as a manager-coach, providing guidance to team members through regular follow-ups, and coordinating and supervising a highly talented development team of 10 individuals.
  • Internal Client Management (33%)
    • Ensure the development of products aligned with the needs of internal clients and communicate regularly and seamlessly with stakeholders to update them on solution progress.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering/computer science or specialization in project management/management, or an unconventional profile with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Good knowledge of project management methods: Agile, Scrum, Kanban.
  • Leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational and priority management skills.
  • Good writing ability.
  • Strong relational skills.
