Position Title: Procurement Lead

Position Status: Non-Bargaining Unit position

Job Requirements:

The Durham Community Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Lead to oversee the procurement process, ensuring that all goods and services are acquired at the best possible price and quality. This role will involve working closely with various departments to understand their needs and develop procurement strategies that align with the company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process to ensure efficient and effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the organization's insurance policies align with its needs and risks.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure cost efficiencies, partnerships, and volume-based benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a non-profit and/or health care setting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare procurement regulations, compliance, and software tools.
  • Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
