Part-Time Math Teacher/Tutor Wanted

We are seeking a passionate and experienced part-time math teacher/tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping students develop their math skills and confidence.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position, working during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturdays (9:00am - 3:00pm). A commitment for the school year is preferred, and continuing through the summer is even better.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach math concepts to students of various skill levels, from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, using our proprietary methodologies and philosophies
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them overcome math challenges and build their confidence
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor at all times

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field, such as mathematics, education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching or tutoring math at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 level, or equivalent
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills, with the ability to guide students' understanding and provide feedback
