Job Description - RECE Full Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team at SimplySmart Child Care Centre & Montessori/Iroquois. As a RECE, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our children, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a prepared environment that meets the individual needs of children in the classroom;
  • Plan and deliver individual and group activities to stimulate growth in social, emotional, and academic areas;
  • Provide instruction and presentations in various areas of the classroom, including Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Culture;
  • Encourage independence and socialization through individual and group work;
  • Identify and modify work to meet the needs of children with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs;
  • Conduct parent/teacher interviews and establish cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and coworkers;
  • Participate in school special activities and celebrations;
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to health and safety protocols;
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities through ongoing education and professional development;
  • Ensure program compliance with Ministry and program standards.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Early Childhood Educator designation;
  • Standard First Aid CPR C+;
  • Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Immunization up to date (including a 2-step TB test).

Salary: $20.00 to $24.00/hour
