The Sushi Royal Tokyo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Kitchen Staff Member to join our team. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen.

About this role

This Kitchen Staff Member will work closely with our chefs to ensure that all food preparation and cooking are done efficiently and safely. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing equipment and utensils, stocking refrigerators and cupboards, and preparing ingredients for meals.

Key responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Stock refrigerators and cupboards with necessary ingredients and supplies
  • Prepare ingredients for meals, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position or industry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
What we offer
