Medical Laboratory Technologist, Hematology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Hematology team at the University Health Network. As a key member of our Laboratory Medicine Program, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality laboratory services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Prepare and document laboratory reports, test results, and other relevant data to support patient care and research.
- Participate in educational programs, quality improvement initiatives, and safety protocols to enhance laboratory practices and patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance and excellence in laboratory services.
- Completion of a recognized Medical Laboratory Technologist program.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists (CMLTO).
- At least one year of recent laboratory experience in a large hospital Biochemistry and Hematology Laboratory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, effective time management, and ability to work accurately under stressful conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
